Alison has no plans to retire, despite having reached 'a certain age'. Her passion for Yoga and creative dance burns as brightly today is it did the first time she took a class in 1984. Before she started her family, Alison had tread the boards professionally. She studied drama, dance, mime and singing and now draws on this diverse and eclectic experience to inspire her distinctive and spontaneous classes.
After training at Mangala Studios in Carlton and teaching for eight years at the Bhava Centre in Warrandyte, Alison moved to Kalorama in 1993 and opened Kumbada Studio. This beautiful old church, surrounded by the lush Dandenong Ranges, has became an embodiment of inner peace and outward creativity.
Alison is a Grade 3 member of Yoga Australia.
